[Page Still Under Construction]
I share these syllabuses not as ideal or superlative models—far from it—but to exhibit the rather strange and uneven development of this document across my career.
At most, I hope they demonstrate that I keep trying to design my courses more clearly, more deliberately, more pedagogically, more ethically, and more responsibly. However, this aspiration and intention do not always translate into better courses or into better conditions of learning for students. Sometimes I make a bad decision; sometimes I botch my planning; sometimes I’m a bit more interested in writing course descriptions that impress colleagues rather than make sense to students.
But I’m learning. I hope.
